$3 million has been committed to target shoplifters and troublemakers this summer.

Police Minister Paul Papalia explained to 6PRs Chrissy Morrissy how new laws and technology are being used to reduce retail theft and assaults.

“We’ve changed the laws so that repeat, lower-level retail theft offenders are not excluded from jail anymore,” he said.
