Rockingham’s new cat ban will be enforced before Christmas, with pet owners facing a $200 fine if their cat is caught wandering in some of the city’s parks, reserves, open areas and a number of lakes and swamps.

City of Rockingham mayor Deb Hamblin spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said cats were banned from about 44 conservation areas.
