Early morning swimmers were forced to leave the ocean at Cottesloe Beach when a 1.5m shark entered the shark barrier.

Mayor Lorraine Young spoke to 6PR’s Chrissy Morrissy about the town’s efforts to protect swimmers from sharks.

“We don’t know at this stage how it got in, but the manufacturer has been very responsive,” she said.
