Coral Bay community seeks explanation after female dingo was shot

Simon Beaumont

Coral Bay residents are asking why a healthy, harmless female dingo was shot near the town.

Brinkly Davies, a Coral Bay environmentalist, explained to Perth Today’s host Simon Beaumont that reports suggest Warriga, the dingo, was shot by a professional, but no one seems able to confirm whether the shooter had permission, and if so, from whom.

“I don’t understand why there would have been a euthanasia order for Warriga at all, as she wasn’t bothering anyone,” she said.
