‘Quite a thrill’: Aussie icon Little Pattie on performing in China and the call back home
Home-grown talent Little Pattie – Patricia Thelma Thompson OAM – is one of the biggest musicians Australia has produced, performing on the highly esteemed Ed Sullivan Show (in the US) and in China alongside the Graeme Bell Band.
Pattie is packing her bags, as we speak, preparing to jet over to Western Australia – performing in Mandurah, Albany, Bunbury and the Regal Theatre (Perth).
Speaking with John Burgess – on 6PR’s Sundays with Burgo – Pattie says she’s “looking forward” to the trip.
“We’re very excited and it’ll be a lovely week, a terrific week in WA,” she said.
Pattie will be singing alongside Jade Hurley, Dinah Lee, Lucky Starr and Digger Revell. The ‘He’s My Blonde Headed Stompie Wompie’ star told Burgo “there’s something magical” about doing the show.
