Anthony Albanese has announced that the federal government is committed to supporting Rex Airlines, ensuring that regional communities continue to have access to vital air services.

Albany Mayor Greg Stocks explained to Perth Today host Simon Beaumont that, despite Rex Airlines owing Albany over $450,000, the airline remains vital to the region.

“It is critical, and if we don’t have the health services here, if we don’t have the Royal Flying Doctor Service, things go to mud pretty quickly for a regional community that’s four and a half hours’ drive away from the city,” he said.
