New research has found pet dogs are an environmental threat and disturb and directly harm nature and wildlife even while on a leash.

Curtin University’s School of Molecular and Life Sciences lead researcher associate professor Bill Bateman spoke to 6PR Radio Perth Live presenter Oliver Peterson and said due to the number of pet dogs that exist, they can impact the environment, waterways and plant growth through urination and excreting faeces.
