Apps That Allow Bullying?

When Meg Coffey from Coffey and Tea Joins Tony Mac you know it’s time to talk social media. This week it includes the Mark Zuckerberg announcement of a major overhaul of Facebook’s News Feed algorithm that would prioritize “meaningful social interactions” over “relevant content” on Thursday, one week after he pledged to spend 2018 “making sure that time spent on Facebook is time well spent”.

 

Also Apps that allow bullying – leave anonymous feedback for others – why do we have these? Are we taking things too far on social media sometimes? For example the cricketers caught smoking – no kids knew about it until it went “viral”.

 

And finally, often people use social media to express their opinions without any thought of repercussions. Will be interesting to see how we move forward with defamation/libel in the near future.
