It’s happened again..another Perth builder hits trouble

Simon Beaumont

Perth builder BCL Group has hit financial trouble, and shut down its sites, just weeks after veteran WA construction company Cooper & Oxley was also forced to stop works.

A carpark development at Whitfords Catholic Primary School in Craigie, and the upgrade of Lake Jualbup in Shenton Park are among the projects which have been shut down.

Mornings with Gareth Parker revealed key details of BCL’s suspension of trade, and spoke with Commerce and Industry minister Bill Johnston about what can be done to help the industry.

Gareth later shared more information with listeners, after speaking with several subbies off air.
