Perth has everything to host a future Commonwealth Games and should put in a bid according the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Chairman.

“Where does Perth sit? Well, it sits in the box seat,” Former Queensland Premier Peter Beattie AC told 6PR Breakfast.

Mr Beattie says Optus Stadium has given us the edge above other places.

“You’ve got the Stadium, you don’t need to do anything, you’ve got the Stadium for the opening and closing ceremonies,” he told Steve and Baz.
