Controversial live export ship cleared to load sheep again

The Pastoralists and Graziers Association is accusing Agriculture minister Alannah MacTiernan of throwing farmers under the bus in the wake of the latest live export scandal.

Ms MacTiernan told Mornings with Gareth Parker she’s been warning farmers for the past six months that trouble was brewing.

PGA WA President Tony Seabrook then told Mornings, Ms MacTiernan is doing nothing to help the industry.

It comes as ship at the centre of the latest controversy – the Awassi Express – was cleared to again load livestock.
