Opposition ‘grandstanding’ with calls to turn off speed cameras
Road Safety Minister Michelle Roberts has labelled calls by shadow road safety spokesman Peter Katsambanis to switch-off speed cameras ‘reckless and irresponsible in the extreme’. He told Oliver Peterson the public need to feel confident in the devices after Police Commissioner Chris Dawson revealed 27 infringements had been overturned due to faulty speed cameras.
