Students at the University of Western Australia are petitioning against an event to be held on campus, which will host a controversial American paediatrician.

Doctor Quentin Van Meter is known to hold the view that transgender people have a mental health disorder.

He’s due to give a speech on Friday evening – as part of an event hosted by the Australian Family Association.

Student Guild President Megan Lee told Michael Genovese Dr Meter is not welcome at the campus
