Heartbroken mum calls for worksite safety reform
The mother of a Perth teenager who fell to his death while working on a building site in the CBD is calling for tougher safety laws.
17-year-old Wesley Ballantine was working on the GOP building in January last year, when he fell through a skylight. He wasn’t wearing a safety harness.
Wesley’s mum Regan bravely shared her story on Mornings with Gareth Parker today, saying work site safety practices need an urgent overhaul.
