WA’s Royal Flying Doctor Service is receiving two world-first aircrafts to assist in saving lives across our vast State.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service in WA will soon house two jets with state-of-the-art aero medical fit outs. The new PC-24 jet aircrafts has an increased capacity and can fly at a top speed of 740km/h.

“A jet. What this new aircraft will do is it’ll expand out fleet and it’ll enable us to take three stretches instead of our standard two and more importantly we’ll be able to put on two medical teams,” the RFDS Western Ops Rebecca Tomkinson told Steve and Baz.

The Western Ops Chief Pilot, Albin Unger, will go collect one of the jets and fly it back and says it’s an important addition to their service.

“When you get there you can see the relief in people’s eyes that you’re actually there to help them and get them to safety,” Mr Albin told Steve and Baz.
