The identity of Lawyer X can now be revealed following the lifting of a near 5-year suppression order.

Gangland lawyer Nicola Gobbo, niece of the former Supreme Court judge and Governor of Victoria Sir James Gobbo, provided information that put more than 380 people behind bars. Some of them her own clients.

Police have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars preventing Ms Gobbo’s name from being made public citing fears for her safety.
