Missing hunter survives on ants
A remarkable story of survival has emerged from the Goldfields.
Superintendent Andy Greatwood says the TRG tracked-down missing shooter Reginald Foggerdy after he spent six days lost in rough country near Laverton.
62-year-old Mr Foggerdy was dehydrated and delusional when he was tracked-down this morning and is recovering from his outback ordeal in Kalgoorlie Hospital.
Bob Cooper is a survivalist and says that Mr Foggerdy’s survival tactic of eating black ants was the first he’d heard of such behaviour.
He spoke with Adam Shand.
