‘The possibility of him walking the streets in near future is remote’
A prominent Perth defence lawyer has offered his opinion on the decision of the man – accused in the Claremont Serial Killer case – to plead guilty over unrelated matters.
Bradley Edwards yesterday changed his pleas to guilty over five charges relating to assaults on teenagers in 1988 and 1995 — but maintains his not guilty pleas over the murders of three young women in the Claremont area in the mid-90s.
Tom Percy QC – who is not involved in the Claremont case – says the change in pleas is a tactic, which he doesn’t think does much in the eyes of public perception.
