Fremantle coach Ross Lyon has identified ball use as the key area of improvement if they are to rediscover their early season form. 

Speaking on 6PR’s Sports Today, Lyon said it was ‘clearly’ the area that needed improving. 

‘We’re going at about 50 per cent ball use, so if we can fix that I think we’re going to be a pretty good team again,’ Lyon said.

‘We just turned the ball over willy-nilly. It’s a relatively easy fix, but we just need to do it.’ 

Lyon also said defender Michael Johnson is expected to return in round 19 or 20.
