Scrutiny on witness recollection

Proceedings have wrapped up at the supreme court, in the trial of the accused Claremont serial killer.

Today, the court heard from a man who was with Bradley Robert Edwards just hours after he allegedly murdered Sarah Spiers and Ciara Glennon in separate incidents.

Murray Cook told the court Mr Edwards stood him up on the night Ms Glennon was killed, claiming he’d tried to reconcile with his first wife.

When she was questioned earlier in the week she didn’t have any recollection of the conversation.

Proceedings will resume midday on Monday.

Oliver Peterson spoke with WAtoday reporter Heather McNeill.
