Green light given for voluntary assisted dying
The Voluntary Assisted Dying bill has passed the state’s Legislative Council 24 votes to 11.
Upper House MPs debated for more than 100 hours as they considered more than 50 amendments since the bill passed the Lower House in September.
The Legislative Assembly will sit on Tuesday to rubber stamp the amendments at which point the bill will become law.
