Snapchat leads teens to surgery
“Snapchat dysmorphia” is leading teens to the operating table with kids as young as 16 wanting nose jobs, hair transplants and other procedures.
But there are some guidelines for underage people wanting to undergo cosmetic procedures the AMA WA President explains.
“You have to have three months worth of cooling off period if you’re going to have a cosmetic procedure done by a doctor,” Andrew Miller says.
“They need to also see a psychologist or a psychiatrist, or their gp.”
