“Distressing” material hidden from public during Claremont trial
Court was delayed at the Claremont Serial Killings trial this morning while a makeshift screen was built to hide explicit evidence from being seen by members of the public.
Only witnesses, counsel and the judge will be able to see the videos and images presented, which relate to the crime scenes where Ciara Glennon and Jane Rimmer’s bodies were found.
Justice Stephen hall told the court this morning he had already viewed some of the materials and found it “distressing”.
WA Today’s Crime and Courts Editor Heather McNeill was in court today, she takes Perth LIVE listeners through the day’s proceedings.
