The Department of Transport has revealed it’s handed over the details of thousands of drivers to debt collectors.

The Department is required to do so under directions by the WA Supreme Court.

Collectors acting on behalf of petrol stations or car parking companies must provide evidence of wrongdoing before such order is made.

Drivers aren’t notified such action has been taken.
