More questions raised over Western Force re-naming
The RAC has added its voice to concerns over the re-naming of the Western Force using funds from the Road Trauma Trust Account.
The club will now be known as the Road Safety Western Force with the Government spending $1.5 million from the Road Trauma Trust Account on the naming deal.
Road Safety Minister Liza Harvey claims the deal will push the road safety message within the rugby community and regional areas.
Yesterday former Liberal MP Rob Johnson, who is an advocate of the Road Trauma Trust Account, said the decision was a disgrace and should not be allowed to happen.
The RAC’s General Manager Corporate Affairs Will Golsby says the money could be better spent elsewhere.
He spoke with Oliver Peterson.
