A 20-year-old man has been clocked travelling at 177km/h in a Toyota Crown on Indian Ocean Drive as police crack down on hoon driving.

A 23-year-old man was also clocked travelling in the same direction at 166km/h in a Ford Ranger utility.

Both men have been charged by summons for reckless driving and have had their cars impounded.

It comes as police crack down on hoon driving, conducting daily patrols of key thoroughfares in Perth and regional areas.
