Gareth Parker and his wife Elizabeth have welcomed their second child, a baby boy, born Friday, October 15.

Frederick Thomas Parker arrived at 6:51pm on Friday night, weighing in at 3.84 kilograms with a good head of hair!

It comes after a dramatic start to the day in which Gareth started his Breakfast shift, but only got half an hour in after a phone call from his wife to get home.

Mark Gibson dutifully answered the call to take over for the rest of the program.

Gareth told Mark he’s over the moon.

“He’s absolutely gorgeous, he’s perfect, he’s been feeding well, and sleeping well, we’re just besotted with him, we’re absolutely in love.”
