Brad Sheppard calls time on his career

West Coast Eagles defender Brad Sheppard has retired after suffering ongoing issues relating to concussion.
The Eagles announced that the popular 30-year-old called time on his 216 game career after assessing medical advice.
He was taken with pick number 7 in the 2009 national draft where he established himself as one of the most consistent defenders in the competition.
He was named in the All-Australian team for 2020 in the back pocket, the same year he won the Chris Mainwaring Medal as best clubman in 2020.
