A Perth doctor says a simple drink works as a vaccine against “Bali Belly” because it protects the lining of your gut.

Dr Aidan Perse told 6PR Breakfast “There are a number of different bugs that can make you sick in Bali it doesn’t cover all of them, but it gives you 20 – 30 per cent protection.”

He also said the red cordial remedy has no scientific evidence while some listeners called in with what works for them to prevent Bali Belly.
