On Thursday, Peter shared the incredible news that the original Neighbours theme song had topped the UK charts as the popular, long-running soap faces the axe in Britain.

Peter told Gareth Parker he had the pleasure of ringing Barry Crocker, who performed the theme song in 1985, and told the 86-year-old the great news.

“He was almost in tears,” Peter told Parker.
