International cruise ships will finally be allowed back into Australia after two years.

The federal government announced a ban implemented at the beginning of the pandemic will be lifted on April 17.

Travel and Cruise’s Mike Drew told Millsy at Midday host Steve Mills the diehard cruisers were “chomping at the bit” to book a cruise.

“The rest of the world has been cruising for the past 12 months and finally Australian can join them,” he said.

“There’s a lot of protocols in place to keep everyone safe and COVID-free.”
