RATs for regions: WA reports 6348 new COVID cases
There are more than 40,000 active cases of COVID-19 in across the state, with WA Health reporting 6348 new cases overnight.
The deaths of three people with COVID were reported to the department on Monday; a woman in her 80s, a woman in her 60s and a man in his 30s, with no further information in the trio released. WA has recorded 257,997 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
The government will distribute 200,000 additional free RATs at regional community resource centres from April 18, with more than 8.5 million already distributed via the WA Free RAT Program since February.
WA Premier Mark McGowan said no other jurisdiction had gone to the lengths WA has to make sure every person could access free RATs.
