A woman was hospitalised with smoke inhalation after a fire inside her City Beach home last night.

Crews were called to the house on Chipping Road about 7pm and found a bedroom ablaze.

6PR and 9 News Perth reporter Kelly Haywood said the scene was now clear and no one else inside the home had been hurt.

“I’m not sure if the residents are home but fire crews did well to not let the fire spread,” she told 6PR Breakfast.
