Angus Livingston, Lifestyle Editor from the Sydney Morning Herald believes we have become so spoiled with streaming services, it has left him longing for old school TV.

“After a long day of making countless decisions at work, then going home to make decisions for a child, by the time I finally settle down in front of the TV, the last thing I need is to make yet more decisions,” he wrote in the Sydney Morning Herald on Thursday.

He spoke to Oliver Peterson onĀ Perth Live to share his proposal on why TV streamers like Netflix and Stan should go old-school and give us a curated channel to park on.

“If you remember Australian Idol, which was just before streaming took off. I think the final of Australian Idol was the most watched show outside of the AFL Grand Final. We don’t really have that anymore where everyone is watching the same thing and talking about it at school or work together,” he told Oly.
