An experienced refrigeration mechanic has taken the unusual approach of seeking an apprentice through Facebook, after growing frustrated with the number of apprentices taking opportunities for granted.

The owner of Allen Air & Refrigeration, Kim Allen told Mornings with Gareth Parker it’s disheartening to have so many apprentices fail to finish what they start, when jobs may be hard to find.
