Eagles great Glen Jakovich has revealed he lunched with Wayne Carey to discuss AFL Grand Final speaking engagements the day after he was evicted from Crown Perth.

“Wayne was very much accommodating, very coherent, and yeah he was getting ready for the commentary for the Freo game [on Saturday night],” he told Steve Mills on Millsy at Midday.

Jakovich said Carey did share with him over lunch that he required a shoulder replacement and was constantly on anti-inflammatories until he did.

“He’s on constant medication for pain relief and anti-inflammatories, that’s a given, I’ve known that for some years with Wayne, with that shoulder,” Jako said.
