A man has been charged after a high-speed pursuit ended with a car smashing into a Wanneroo home.

The dramatic chase resulted in a destroyed car parked outside the house.

6PR and Nine News reporter Ezra Holt told Gareth Parker the driver ran away from police after the car flipped over.

“The driver then took off towards a nearby lake and was arrested there,” Holt said on 6PR Breakfast.

“Him and the female passenger were brought to Royal Perth to be checked, and they’ve been arrested and charged.”
