A WA woman diagnosed with terminal brain cancer hopes to raise crucial funds for cancer research at a gala dinner this month.

An Esperance woman who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer is fulfilling her bucket list and raising money for cancer research at the same time.

Eleanor McCleave worked as a theatre nurse at Sir Charles Gairdner until she was diagnosed.

Eleanor told Steve Mills on Millsy at Midday that chemotherapy and radiation ‘miraculously worked.’

“I’ve always kind of felt I’ve been on borrowed time ever since that happened,” she said.

But when the heart tumour was found, she decided to make the most of her.

“I think I would never want to swap places with anyone,” she told Millsy.

“I’m strong enough to handle what the universe has given me,

“You can’t control what the universe throws at you, but you can change the way you respond to it.”
