After nearly a week of a fake profile pretending to be 6PR Breakfast presenter Gareth Parker, Facebook has still refused to take down the scam.

The 6PR Breakfast host enlisted the help of Social Media Expert Meg Coffey, who said the same thing happened to her.

“They’re just crooks. They just don’t care,” Parker said.

An action brought against Facebook’s parent company is due back in court today. 

Billionaire Andrew Forrest sounded the alarm earlier this year when his name and image were used in an alleged scam.

Coffey says that the legal action should give Facebook a reality shock.

“The tide is turning,” she said.

“We need people like Andrew Forrest fighting this for us,

“If he can’t get this fixed, if I can’t get this fixed, then there’s no hope for the general public.”
