A cruise ship with COVID-19 cases on board has docked in Fremantle but WA Health is confident the outbreak will be safely managed.

The Coral Princess has an undisclosed number of infected passengers and crew but operator Carnival Australia says most of the ship’s 2000 guests are unaffected and those who return a negative RAT will be allowed ashore.

6PR and Nine News reporter Ashtyn Hiren told Breakfast host Gareth Parker that WA Health is aware of the ship’s outbreak but had not been asked for help in managing passengers.

“The WA government says it is confident that history won’t repeat itself,” she says.
