Following five seasons at the helm of Fremantle’s AFL Women’s team, Trent Cooper will depart the club after not being offered a contract extension.

Cooper was appointed senior coach in June 2018 and made an immediate impact in the 2019 AFLW season.

6PR sports broadcaster Mark Readings told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast the coach was sacked despite making finals in four of his five seasons in charge.
