According to the ‘Worldometre’, the Earth will hit a population of eight billion tomorrow evening Perth time.

Researcher for the QLD center for population research Dr Aude Bernard told Mornings host Simon Beaumont the population growth is due to the medical progress in recent decades.

“Most of the population growth has occurred during the 20th century and into the 21st century,” said Dr Bernard.
