More WA nurses sign up to strike as latest offer rejected
More WA nurses look set to take part in industrial action from Wednesday to Friday as their pay dispute with the McGowan government continues to be nutted out at the Industrial Relations Commission on Tuesday.
Australian Nursing Federation CEO Mark Olsen says his job today was to finalise a suitable deal to avoid the strikes, which will continue into next week if no resolution is reached, with the latest offer rejected in an online poll.
“Almost 4000 members have had their say, they’re still not happy with the government’s offer,” Olson told Michael Genovese, in for Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.

“I’ve watched the number of people signing up to be taking part in industrial action at Fiona Stanley Hospital [on Wednesday], that started rising a bit more quickly last night as well.”
