Pat Cummins addresses Langer scandal ahead of Test with West Indies
Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins has addressed the elephant in the room for the first time since Justin Langer’s messy exit as national coach.
Perth Live host Oliver Peterson asked Cummins how his relationship is with JL, after his “coward comments” towards some former players.
“We are good, I look forward to catching up with him this week… you know we chat a bit and he has been fantastic for our group over the last four years so yeah, the boys are looking forward to seeing him,” Cummins told Oly.

“There’s no coward that has ever been on the Australian cricket team, not ever, so I thank Justin for clarifying those comments.”
Cricket Australia has been on the nose with the Australian public amid the coaching saga, with fears some WA spectators plan to boo the Australian team when the First Test against the West Indies begins on Wednesday at Perth Stadium.
“That’s up to them, I’m a grown man. I don’t think I’d ever go in a crowd and boo someone – We are passionate and are going to do our best,” Cummins said.
