RUMOUR CONFIRMED: ‘No More Far Queue’ rang the John Hughes Rumour File a few weeks back when Gareth Parker was still in the chair, saying Woolworths was set to trial a new scan-and-go checkout system.

“Shoppers can scan and bag groceries as they move about the store… that is, pick an item off the shelf, scan and pay for it on your mobile, skip the traditional checkout and then leave,” the rumour read.

Cockburn resident Tim then called 6PR Breakfast to tell Millsy & Karl his local Woolworths had been trialling the system for six months, and told the boys how it works.
