West Australian speedster Lance Morris has been brought into the squad for the second Test starting Thursday at Adelaide Oval as cover for captain Pat Cummins, who took the field on Sunday’s final day against West Indies despite an injury niggle.

“Why was he out there… he was the captain and they got criticised for letting Steve Smith take the reins,” 6PR Breakfast co-host Karl Langdon told Millsy and sports presenter Mark Readings.

Morris, nicknamed the ‘Wild Thing’, is unlikely to play, with Victorian paceman Scott Boland the favourite to come into the XI.

Meanwhile, the boys have questioned why Cummins remained on the field at Perth Stadium while unable to bowl, with criticism from quarters at handing the captaincy reins to former skipper Smith while he was off the field.
