Alec Baldwin charged with involuntary manslaughter for fatal set shooting
Actor Alec Baldwin and a weapons specialist will be charged with involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of a cinematographer on a New Mexico movie set, prosecutors have said, citing a “criminal disregard for safety.”
US Reporter Charles Feldman told 6PR Breakfast Mr Baldwin is facing a fourth-degree felony, which is punishable by up to 18 months in jail and a $US5000 ($7100) fine under New Mexico law.
“In the case of Baldwin because a gun was involved, he could also be facing up to 5 years in prison,” Charles said.
