Despite the current controversy surrounding Australia Day celebrations, the City of Perth is still putting on a fireworks display.

However, this year’s celebrations will look slightly different, with drones being incorporated into the firework display.

The display will kick off at 8:15 pm tonight.

Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas explained to 6PR Afternoons why the City of Perth is continuing with its Australia Day celebrations.
