The Perth Council are being asked to deal with stray cats which are venturing into Kings Park and destroying local wildlife.

This has prompted calls to completely ban cats from all council-owned land across Perth to help protect wildlife.

City of Fremantle Councillor Adin Lang told 6PR Afternoons something needs to be done statewide to protect Western Australian wildlife.

“We’ve got domestic cats and feral cats roaming around Australia killing our wildlife,” said Mr Lang.
