An article in the Sydney Morning Herald has been released detailing the rise of ageism in everyday life. 

From comments by strangers to a lack of opportunities, casual discrimination against older Australians is on the rise.

Author and commentator Jane Caro told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons people need to stop commenting on age.

“You don’t want people to draw attention to something that makes you different,” said Ms Caro.
